Global cosmetics brand Revlon was founded in 1932 by Charles and Joseph Revlon in the midst of the Great Depression with a single product--a nail varnish. Within six years the company had become a multimillion dollar organization and it brought out manicure and lipstick ranges during the Second World War. Revlon fragrance range started in the 1970s and Charlie, a perfume designed for the working woman, was its first big success. The Charlie collection now has a number of fragrances including Charlie Gold, Charlie Red and Charlie Blue.
